A Master of Ceremonies (MC) is the heartbeat of any event. Responsible for guiding the flow, energizing the crowd, and ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

Welcome guests and introduce speakers: Opens the event with warmth and professionalism and ensures smooth transitions between segments.

Announce key moments: From speeches and performances to cake cutting or first dances, the MC ensures guests know what’s happening and when.

Support the hosts or couple: Acts as a reassuring presence and adapts to changes with calm control.

Create memorable moments: Adds flair, personality, and spontaneity that elevate the event beyond a schedule of activities.

SERVICE DETAILS
MC Service: $100.00 per hour / minimum 4 hours
Events that benefit from a Master of Ceremonies (MC) include weddings, corporate functions, awards nights, product launches, charity galas, and more—any occasion where flow, timing, and audience engagement matter. Events that typically require and MC are (but not limited to):

A typical role of the MC will include any of the below elements and can be tail.ored to suit your needs:

Pre-event consultation: A planning session to understand the event schedule, tone, and key people involved.

Run sheet coordination: Assistance in creating or refining the event timeline to ensure smooth transitions. If it is a wedding then a custom-written narrative that reflects your story, values, and personalities.

PA system (if needed): Microphone and speaker setup to ensure all guests can hear clearly.

Guest welcome and introductions: Warmly greeting guests and introducing key speakers, performers, or segments.

Professional event hosting: Confident, engaging delivery throughout the event, keeping energy high and guests informed. Using humour, storytelling, or cultural awareness to connect with guests and maintain a lively atmosphere.

Time management: Keeping the event on schedule and adjusting as needed to accommodate changes.

Vendor coordination: Working with caterers, DJs, photographers, and venue staff to ensure seamless execution.

Support for speeches and transitions: Introducing speakers, managing microphones, and ensuring smooth handovers.

Crisis management: Handling unexpected hiccups with professionalism and calm to keep the event flowing

Travel Costs: Travel within 50km of Perth CBD is included, every km outside of the 50kms is an additional charge ($2.00 per km). If accommodation is required there is a flat fee of $250.00 per night.

Meals: A meal is required for all MC services.

Aprils knowledge of the wedding industry is an added invaluable element to having her as a Celebrant / MC for your special day. She guided me through multiple stages of the planning process and assisted us in creating our perfect wedding . And then because we were lucky enough to have her step up and MC for us - which she did effortlessly and brilliantly even though it was a very very last minute add on (due to unforeseen circumstances with our dj). She was on hand the entire evening to ensure any hiccups didn’t matter/ everything I wanted to happen was able to. I truly believe the success of our wedding day would not have been of the same calibre if it was not for April. Easiest recommendation I have ever made.

April was an extremely helpful celebrant/mc. She played a huge part in the day. Leading up to the day, she was in regular contact to make sure everything was set and good to go. It was definitely a sigh of relief when she was around as she made sure everyone nerves were in check on the day . Everything and more you would want in an celebrant/mc.

April was the perfect addition to our Wedding Celebration, being both our Celebrant and MC. I would however say that April was much more than this... We are so grateful for her tips and clear communication throughout the planning stage which made for perfect execution on the day. April was very established in her process and well set up which gave us the absolute confidence in her. She brings such a calm, controlled, yet fun energy on the day - which perfectly matched mine and my partners. April was also fantastic behind the scenes on the day - helping coordinate other vendors and our guests. April really does go above and beyond - I couldn't recommend her enough!
