A Master of Ceremonies (MC) is the heartbeat of any event. Responsible for guiding the flow, energizing the crowd, and ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

  • Set the tone and atmosphere: Whether formal, fun, or heartfelt, the MC establishes the mood and keeps it consistent throughout the event.

  • Welcome guests and introduce speakers: Opens the event with warmth and professionalism and ensures smooth transitions between segments.

  • Engage the audience: Uses humour, storytelling, or cultural sensitivity to connect with guests and maintain energy.

  • Announce key moments: From speeches and performances to cake cutting or first dances, the MC ensures guests know what’s happening and when.

  • Support the hosts or couple: Acts as a reassuring presence and adapts to changes with calm control.

  • Create memorable moments: Adds flair, personality, and spontaneity that elevate the event beyond a schedule of activities.

SERVICE DETAILS

MC Service: $100.00 per hour / minimum 4 hours

Events that benefit from a Master of Ceremonies (MC) include weddings, corporate functions, awards nights, product launches, charity galas, and more—any occasion where flow, timing, and audience engagement matter. Events that typically require and MC are (but not limited to): 

  • Weddings

  • Awards Nights & Incentive Events

  • Corporate Events

  • Product Launches

  • Special Events & Galas

  • Talent Shows & Competitions

  • Birthdays, Anniversaries & Private Celebrations

A typical role of the MC will include any of the below elements and can be tail.ored to suit your needs: 

  • Pre-event consultation: A planning session to understand the event schedule, tone, and key people involved.

  • Run sheet coordination: Assistance in creating or refining the event timeline to ensure smooth transitions. If it is a wedding then a custom-written narrative that reflects your story, values, and personalities.

  • PA system (if needed): Microphone and speaker setup to ensure all guests can hear clearly.

  • Guest welcome and introductions: Warmly greeting guests and introducing key speakers, performers, or segments.

  • Professional event hosting: Confident, engaging delivery throughout the event, keeping energy high and guests informed. Using humour, storytelling, or cultural awareness to connect with guests and maintain a lively atmosphere.

  • Time management: Keeping the event on schedule and adjusting as needed to accommodate changes.

  • Vendor coordination: Working with caterers, DJs, photographers, and venue staff to ensure seamless execution.

  • Support for speeches and transitions: Introducing speakers, managing microphones, and ensuring smooth handovers.

  • Crisis management: Handling unexpected hiccups with professionalism and calm to keep the event flowing

  • Travel Costs: Travel within 50km of Perth CBD is included, every km outside of the 50kms is an additional charge ($2.00 per km). If accommodation is required there is a flat fee of $250.00 per night.

  • Meals: A meal is required for all MC services.
